edit: From now on I'll be trying to tame those muscles and do some more realistic stuff. No more buff horses! (until quite some time, anyway!) :D

very nice! there are few things about the conformation that seem a little dodgy (the chest, and the two legs further away are a little spindly) but since it's miles better than any horse i've ever drawn i won't be picky! also, from the rather stylised look, i gather its not meant to be totally realistic. the sculpted musculature here is amazing, he looks very fit :) the colours are gorgeous, and the mane and tail are so beautifully flowy! wonderful job!

Well, this horse isn't meant to be the idol of conformation, as supposedly he's wild. And he's a colt, so things are still maturing. I know what you mean about the chest and those two legs, though.. i was noticing that after I inked it. :( Ah well, next time I'll try to do better. Thanks for the insightful comment. :)

Smarty Jones almost won the triple crown in horse racing, but fell short yesterday at the last race, the belmont.

Proportions schmaportions. Hehe.. I call it "stylized anatomy." I promise soon I'll try harder to be accurate. Thanks for the comment, though. :)
